Regular Season Round 16: Condores - Aguilas 84-75

There was no surprise in Cundinamarca where 7th ranked Patriotas (4-12) were defeated by fourth ranked Condores (8-8) 84-75. Condores outrebounded Patriotas 46-35 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Lamar Roberson (203-86, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Venezuelan swingman Hector Diaz (197-92) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Condores' coach Tomas Diaz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Robert Crawford (201-90, college: Cent.Arkansas) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and naturalized American guard Julio Velandia (188-90, college: Missouri Baptist) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for Patriotas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Condores have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Sabios. Patriotas lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Piratas. Condores will play against league's second-placed Academia in Montana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Patriotas will play at home against Piratas (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
