Regular Season Round 17: Fast Break - Sabios 90-69

An interesting game for Fast Break (14-1) which hosted in Bogota 3rd placed Sabios (8-9). First ranked Fast Break had an easy win 90-69. The game without a history. Fast Break led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Sabios' 48. Fast Break forced 20 Sabios turnovers. The former international guard Stalin Ortiz (190-81, college: Valparaiso) nailed 26 points and 5 steals for the winning side and Nigerian-American guard Henry Uhegwu (191-82, college: S.Utah) accounted for 17 points and 6 assists. Canadian guard Ashton Smith (187-89, college: Indiana, PA) came up with 21 points and naturalized American guard Ricardo Rivera (190-91, college: Voorhees) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Sabios in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fast Break have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Newly promoted Fast Break maintains first place with 14-1 record. Loser Sabios dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with Condores. Fast Break will again meet at home Sabios (#4) in the next round. Sabios will have a break next round.
