Regular Season Round 2: Guizhou - Fujian 87-90

Very important is a home loss of Guizhou (1-1) against Fujian (1-1) on Wednesday night. Host Guizhou was edged by Fujian in a tough game in Guizhou 87-90. Guizhou was ahead by 15 points after three quarters before a 28-10 charge of Fujian, which allowed them to win the game. Swingman Wenbo Yang (196-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 6 rebounds. Ivorian-French point guard Mouloukou Souleyman Diabate (181-87) contributed with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Central African-American power forward James Mays (206-86, college: Clemson) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 20 rebounds and American point guard Mark Lyons (185-89, college: Arizona, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 30 points in the effort for Guizhou. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Fujian's next round opponent will be Beijing (#9) at home. Guizhou will play against Jiangsu L. (#13) and hope to win that game.
