Regular Season Round 9: Tabare - Stockolmo 84-80

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Tabare and 8th ranked Stockolmo had identical 4-3 record. This time Tabare used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Montevideo 84-80 on Thursday night. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American forward Charles McCann (193, college: LIU Post) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and guard Rodrigo Xavier (184-95) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Tabare's coach Carlos Barrios used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Rashaun Stimage (202, college: De Paul) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 27 rebounds and forward Luis De-Leon (193-88) scored 15 points. Five Tabare and four Stockolmo players scored in double figures. Tabare (5-3) moved-up to third place, which they share with Miramar and 25 de Agosto. Stockolmo at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with U Atletica.
