Everything went according to plan in Loganholme where second ranked Logan Thunder (10-1) outscored 10th ranked Cyclones (4-8) 96-71 on Friday. Logan Thunder forced 25 Cyclones turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kate Gaze (173-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and swingman Mikhaela Donnelly (177-94) who added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Logan Thunder players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Shanavia Dowdell (188-87, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 19 rebounds and Christina Boag produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Logan Thunder maintains second position in League with 10-1 record behind leader Brisbane S. Loser Cyclones keep the tenth place with eight games lost. Logan Thunder will face Power (#6) in Gladstone in the next round. Cyclones will play against SC Rip (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
