Regular Season Round 16: Willetton T. - Kalamunda E.S. 93-45

Date: June 30, 2017
No shocking result in a game in Willeton where fifth ranked Tigers (10-7) outleveled 9th ranked Suns (5-13) 93-45 on Friday. Tigers held Suns to an opponent 23.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Suns 50-31 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Suns' players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Stacey Barr (173-92, college: Idaho) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and Emma Gandini who added 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Melissa Moyle (184-87) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Jennie Rintala (-90) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tigers maintains fifth position in League with 10-7 record. Loser Suns dropped to the tenth place with 13 games lost. Tigers will face Slammers (#9) in Bunbury in the next round. Suns will play on the road against the league's second-placed Hawks in Floreat and hope to win that game.
