There was no surprise in Narrabeen where 5th ranked Sharks (6-6) were defeated by third ranked Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (9-4) 80-75 on Saturday. Sharks were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Erin Todd (175-86) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and swingman Rebecca Duke (183-87) who added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. At the losing side center Rachel Herrick (192-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Peta Kneen scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Sharks' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles maintains third position in League with 9-4 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Brisbane S. Loser Sharks keep the fifth place with six games lost. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will face league's second-placed North Bears in Crows Nest in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sharks will play at home against the league's leader Spireds and hope to win that game.
