Regular Season Round 18: Hawthorn M. - Knox R. 67-91

There was no surprise in Hawthorn where 8th ranked Magic (5-10) was crushed by second ranked Knox Raiders (14-4) 91-67 on Saturday. Knox Raiders forced 19 Magic turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Adrian Tomada who scored 11 points and 6 assists. Forward Dylan Hare (193-93) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Five Knox Raiders players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Joshua Morrison (198-91, college: NC-Wesleyan) who recorded 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Alex Bogart-King (200) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Knox Raiders keep a position of League leader. Loser Magic keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Knox Raiders will face Whittlesea City (#12) in Mill Park in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Magic will play on the road against Ringwood Hawks (#3) in Heathmont and hope to win that game.
