The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Mount Gambier Pioneers' (14-2) home victory over second-best Ballarat Miners (11-6) 100-75 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 22-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 100-75. Mount Gambier Pioneers had a 37-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Ballarat Miners' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mount Gambier Pioneers made 7 blocks.
