Regular Season Round 4: Jiangsu L. - Fujian 79-106

Fourth ranked Fujian blasted bottom-ranked Jiangsu L. (0-4) in He Fei 106-79 on Sunday evening. Jiangsu L. is still unable to win any game. The game was mostly controlled by Fujian. Jiangsu L. was better in third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fujian forced 23 Jiangsu L. turnovers. It was a very good performance for American forward LaQuinton Ross (203-92, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Wenbo Yang (196-90) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Fujian players scored in double figures. Fujian's coach Jiulong Liu felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. American-Palestinian forward Michael Nunnally (203-86, college: Pacific) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds and forward MingYang Gao (196-88) added 22 points in the effort for Jiangsu L.Fujian have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Jiangsu L. still closes the standings with four games lost. Fujian will face Dongbu (#13) in Nanjin in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Jiangsu L. will play on the road against Beijing and hopes to get finally their first victory.
