Regular Season Round 18: Knox R. - Corio Bay S. 102-75

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Knox Raiders as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Knox Raiders smashed 11th ranked Stingrays in Wantirna South 102-75. Knox Raiders players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Stingrays' players. They brought some defensive toughness making 12 blocks. It was a good game for American forward Christopher Kaba (203-88, college: N.Colorado) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Abraham Nyok (203, college: Yellowstone Chr.) contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Knox Raiders players scored in double figures. Knox Raiders' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Jordan Latham (206-91, college: Loyola, MD) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and guard Joel Mcfall (189-94) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Stingrays. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Stingrays at the other side keep the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Stingrays will play next round against strong Ringwood Hawks trying to get back on the winning streak. Knox Raiders will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Whittlesea City at Mill Park.
