Regular Season Round 10: Cordon - Marne 84-70

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Cordon (#6) and Marne (#13). Cordon (5-3) won against visiting Marne (1-7) 84-70. They outrebounded Marne 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Cordon looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Agustin Zuvich (200-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Agustin Viotti (190-97) contributed with 23 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Cordon players scored in double figures. Cordon's coach Matias Nieto used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Joaquin Borallo replied with 16 points and guard Santiago Pereira (180-96) added 14 points in the effort for Marne. Cordon moved-up to fifth place. Marne lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Cordon's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Verdirrojo.
