The game between second ranked Atenas (7-2) and 9th ranked Verdirrojo (3-5) in Montevideo ended with biggest points difference. Atenas outscored guests from Montevideo 122-93. Atenas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Verdirrojo's 38 and made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Verdirrojo 34-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. Atenas shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 37 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Verdirrojo's players. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atenas maintains second position with 7-2 record behind leader Sayago. Verdirrojo at the other side keeps the ninth place with five games lost. Atenas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Capitol.
