Regular Season Round 19: Albury W.B. - NW Tasmania 80-88

Everything went according to plan when third ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (10-9) defeated 5th ranked Bandits (8-11) in Albury 88-80 on Friday. Bandits were trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 28-19 charge of NW Tasmania Thunder, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for American forward Jeremiah Ingram (201-93, college: N.C.Central) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Daniel Sepokas (190-90, college: Lees-McRae) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four NW Tasmania Thunder players scored in double figures. Point guard Deba George (183-85) answered with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward TJ Robinson (203-89, college: Long Beach St.) added 26 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Bandits. NW Tasmania Thunder maintains third place in League with 10-9 record behind leader Mackay M. Loser Bandits keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. NW Tasmania Thunder will face league's second-placed Chargers in Hobart in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bandits will play at home against the league's second-placed Ballarat Miners and hope to win that game.
