Regular Season Round 6: Jiangsu L. - Dongbu 80-75

Jiangsu L. can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Dongbu (0-6) 80-75 on Friday. Dongbu trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 23-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-80 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was American-Palestinian forward Michael Nunnally (203-86, college: Pacific) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds. Forward MingYang Gao (196-88) chipped in 25 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward MengLong Zhao (197-91) who recorded 24 points and center Chen Wang (207-89) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Dongbu players scored in double figures. Jiangsu L. (1-5) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place. It was Dongbu's sixth loss in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Jiangsu L. will face higher ranked Anhui (#8) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Dongbu will play against Beijing (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
