Regular Season Round 19: Melbourne T. - Hobart C. 84-81

A very interesting game took place in Melbourne. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Chargers (11-7) to sixth ranked Tigers (5-12) 84-81 on Saturday evening. Strangely Chargers outrebounded Tigers 34-21 including 21 on the defensive glass. The former international guard Nate Tomlinson (192-89, college: Colorado) fired 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Ari Stewart (200-90, college: USC) chipped in 19 points. American swingman Robert Heyer (190, college: Boise St.) produced 26 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized South Sudanese swingman Mathiang Muo (196-87, college: Charleston So.) added 22 points respectively for lost side. Tigers maintains sixth place in League with 5-12 record. Chargers at the other side keep the second position with seven games lost. Tigers' next round opponent will be higher ranked Geelong Supercats (#4) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chargers will play against NW Tasmania Thunder in Ulverstone and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
