We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Sutherland where 5th ranked Sharks (7-7) were defeated by sixth ranked Hunters (7-7) 72-57 on Saturday. Hunters dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sharks' 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Suzy Batkovic-Brown (195-80) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Alison Ebzery chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Madeleine Norris produced 15 points and Jane Scrivens added 8 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hunters moved-up to fifth place in League. Hunters will face Hills Hornets (#8) in Baulkham Hills in the next round. Sharks will play on the road against Bruins in Condell Park and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
