The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Eagles' (2-17) home loss to eleventh ranked Flames (5-15) 59-65 on Saturday. Eagles were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Chastity Reed (185-89, college: UALR) who scored 29 points and 8 rebounds. Dena English chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Brianna Fisher produced 21 points and Canadian power forward Kaylee Kilpatrick (193-93, college: New Hampshire) added 7 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Flames maintains eleventh place in League with 5-15 record. Loser Eagles keep the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Flames will face league's leader Hawks in Floreat in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eagles will play on the road against the league's second-placed Magic (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
