Regular Season Round 19: W.Adelaide B. - S.Adelaide P. 97-68

Date: July 8, 2017
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked South Adelaide Panthers (7-9) were outscored by fourth ranked West Adelaide Bearcats (10-6) in Woodville 97-68 on Saturday. West Adelaide Bearcats forced 22 South Adelaide Panthers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. South Adelaide Panthers were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Dee Oldham (193-94, college: Chattanooga) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 6 assists. Guard Patrick Thomas (190, college: Mary) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five West Adelaide Bearcats players scored in double figures. American guard Eian Davis (185-90, college: Albertus Magnus) answered with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Adam Brown added 10 points in the effort for South Adelaide Panthers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. West Adelaide Bearcats moved-up to third place in League. Loser South Adelaide Panthers keep the seventh position with nine games lost. West Adelaide Bearcats will face Forestville Eagles (#6) in Goodwood in the next round. South Adelaide Panthers will play at home against Eastern Mavericks and hope to win that game.
