Rather predictable result in Loganholme where second ranked Logan Thunder (12-1) beat 6th ranked Power (6-5) 84-76 on Sunday. Logan Thunder made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Mikhaela Donnelly (177-94) who scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Guard Kate Gaze (173-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 28 points. American center Cassie Rochel (193-91, college: Wisconsin) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import forward Tabatha Richardson-Smith (183, college: Seton Hall) added 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Logan Thunder maintains second place in League with 12-1 record having seven points less than leader Knox R. Loser Power keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Logan Thunder will face Mountaineers (#14) in Toowoomba in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Power will play at home against Cyclones (#11) and hope to win that game.
