A very interesting game took place in Mt. Barker. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Flames (11-5) to first ranked Mavericks (13-3) 82-80 on Sunday evening. Guard Alex Wilson (174-94) nailed a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Kedeisha Kartinyeri accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Mavericks' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Jessica Good (186-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 blocks and Shannon Mckay (-90) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Flames in the defeat. Mavericks maintains first place in League with 13-3 record. Flames at the other side keep the fourth position with five games lost. Mavericks' next round opponent will be Panthers (#9) in Adelaide and are hoping to win another game. Flames will play at home against Sabres (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
