Very predictable result when third ranked Ringwood Hawks (15-4) won against 9th ranked Magic (5-12) in Heathmont 94-83 on Sunday. Ringwood Hawks made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. Ringwood Hawks outrebounded Magic 44-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. Magic was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Jacob Gibson (198-93, college: Harding) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Center Trevor Latham (203) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Magic's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ringwood Hawks moved-up to second place in League. Loser Magic keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Ringwood Hawks will face Whittlesea City (#12) in Mill Park in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Magic will play at home against McKinnon C. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
