The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers' (11-5) road victory over 3rd placed Forestville Eagles (9-7) in Goodwood 112-84 on Sunday. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers outrebounded Forestville Eagles 51-36 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Noarlunga City Southern Tigers made 8 blocks. Forestville Eagles were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for the former international swingman Anthony Drmic (198-92, college: Boise St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 7 assists. American swingman Decorey Jones (201-90, college: Faulkner) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Noarlunga City Southern Tigers players scored in double figures. American guard Jake Rios (188-86, college: Georgia Coll.) answered with 31 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Sudanese forward Majok Deng (208-93, college: La-Monroe) added 21 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Forestville Eagles. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers maintains second place in League with 11-5 record having just four point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Forestville Eagles dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will face league's leader North Adelaide Rockets in Greenacres in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Forestville Eagles will play at home against West Adelaide Bearcats (#3) and hope to win that game.
