Regular Season Round 12: Colon - Auriblanco 90-80

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Auriblanco (3-8) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Colon (3-9) 90-80 on Friday. Colon looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: Ouachita Baptist) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Federico Della-Mea (187-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Colon players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Camilo Colman (191-90) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Rodrigo Goncalvez added 19 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Colon maintains twelfth position with 3-9 record. Auriblanco lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with eight games lost. Colon will have a break next round.
