No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Logan T. (8-6) outleveled on the road 14th ranked Toowoomba Mountaineers (1-12) 103-84 on Friday. Logan T. forced 25 Toowoomba Mountaineers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Toowoomba Mountaineers were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mitch Young (206-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and Canadian forward Keanau Post (211-92, college: Missouri) who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. American guard Jalil Abdul-Bassit (193, college: Oregon) responded with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Manylok Malek (201-94) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Logan T. maintains seventh position in League with 8-6 record. Loser Toowoomba Mountaineers keep the fourteenth place with 12 games lost. Logan T. will face Ipswich Force (#12) in Booval in the next round where they are favorite. Toowoomba Mountaineers will play at home against Ipswich Force and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
