Regular Season Round 24: Caciques - Fast Break 63-71

Liga DirecTV top team - Fast Break (21-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Caciques (8-14) in Valleduparnga 71-63. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The winners were led by the former international guard Stalin Ortiz (190-81, college: Valparaiso) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Dermaine Crockrell (185-89, college: Bemidji St.) supported him with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Crockrell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Brandon Provost (190-90, college: UTRGV) did not help to save the game for Caciques. His fellow American import point guard Horace Wormely (168-84, college: Vanguard) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Fast Break have an impressive 21-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fast Break maintains first position with 21-1 record. Caciques lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 14 games lost. Fast Break will play against Piratas (#5) in Bogota in the next round. Caciques will play on the road against Patriotas in Boyaca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
