Regular Season Round 20: Dandenong R. - Nunawading S. 75-87

Date: July 15, 2017
Rather predictable result when first ranked Spectres (15-5) defeated on the road 3rd ranked Dandenong Rangers (12-8) 87-75 on Saturday. Dandenong Rangers were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Sam McDonald (-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists and American center Dain Swetalla (206-86, college: Augustana, IL) who added 20 points during the contest. American swingman Chauncey Orr (193-93, college: Hawaii Pacific) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Lucas Barker (183-93, college: Indianapolis) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dandenong Rangers' coach tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Spectres maintains first position in League with 15-5 record. Loser Dandenong Rangers keep the third place with eight games lost. Spectres will face Bandits (#5) in Albury in the next round. Dandenong Rangers will play at home against Frankston Blues and hope to win that game.
