No shocking result in a game in North Lake where tenth ranked Lightning (10-15) won against 12th ranked Giants (6-16) 91-85 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Lightning dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Giants' 32 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Lightning looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward James Padgett (203-91, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Corey Shervill (197) who added 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. American power forward Jacob Holmen (202-91, college: N.Texas) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward JB Pillard (201, college: Cent.Washington) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Lightning and five Giants players scored in double figures. Lightning moved-up to ninth place in League. Loser Giants keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Lightning will face higher ranked Hawks (#8) in Floreat in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Giants will play on the road against Magic (#14) in Mandurah and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
