Tenth-ranked Sutherland Sharks (2-15) gave a tough game to second ranked Bankstown Bruins (13-5). The visitors from Condell Park managed to secure only three-point victory 98-95. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by the former international guard Steven Markovic (190-85) who scored that evening 28 points and 5 assists and Svetomir Gavrilovic supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Even 28 points and 5 assists by American Isaac Turner (191-92, college: St.Vincent) did not help to save the game for Sutherland Sharks. Bankstown Bruins maintains second position in League with 13-5 record having just five point less than leader Mackay M. Sutherland Sharks at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with 15 games lost. Bankstown Bruins will play against Norths Soul Sports Bears (#4) in Crows Nest in the next round. Sutherland Sharks will play at home against Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (#5) and hope to get back on the winning track.
