The game in Anhui was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Chongqing (5-5) played at the court of seventh ranked Anhui (6-4). Anhui defeated Chongqing 130-115. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Chongqing. The game was mostly controlled by Anhui. Chongqing was better in second period 29-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Anhui players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American point guard Jonathan Gibson (188-87, college: N.Mexico St.) fired 45 points (!!!), 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The other American import Chris Johnson (210-85, college: LSU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 31 points and 17 rebounds. Anhui's coach Yong Zhang allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and Yaoyang Guo added 31 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five Chongqing players scored in double figures. Anhui moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Chongqing at the other side dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Anhui's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Shaanxi W. in Xian and it may be the game of the week. Chongqing will play at home against Beijing (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
