Regular Season Round 10: Lhasa - Hunan 96-103

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Hunan (7-3) beat on the road 11th ranked Lhasa (4-6) 103-96 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 31-26. But Lhasa won second period 30-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Hunan won last quarter 24-19. It was a very good performance for American power forward Arinze Onuaku (206-87, college: Syracuse) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Wei Zhang (203-84) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American Dominique Johnson (192-87, college: Azusa Pacific, agency: Higher Vision Sports) replied with 27 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and Jinlong Chen added 28 points and 4 assists in the effort for Lhasa. Four Hunan and five Lhasa players scored in double figures. Lhasa's coach Feng Chen gave the chance to play for twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hunan have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Shaanxi W. Lhasa lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Hunan will face Guizhou (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Lhasa will play against Guangxi and hope to win that game.
