Regular Season Round 24: Caciques - Fast Break 71-82

Liga DirecTV top team - Fast Break (21-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked Caciques (8-14) in Valleduparnga 82-71. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international guard Stalin Ortiz (190-81, college: Valparaiso) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Dermaine Crockrell (185-89, college: Bemidji St.) who added 18 points during the contest. Crockrell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was Miguel Bermudez with 20 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Venezuelan point guard Fernando Lucena (185-86) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fast Break have an impressive 21-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fast Break maintains first position with 21-1 record. Caciques lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 14 games lost. Fast Break are looking forward to face Piratas (#5) in Bogota in the next round. Caciques will play on the road against Patriotas in Boyaca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
