Rather predictable result in Perth where first ranked Tigers (20-5) beat 5th ranked Stirling S. (14-11) 85-75 on Friday. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Ray Turner (206-90, college: Texas A&M) who scored 31 points and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Guard Damien Scott (190-92) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Ashley Litterick (202) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Rhys Vague (204-96) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks respectively. Four Stirling S. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tigers maintains first place in League with 20-5 record. Loser Stirling S. dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Tigers will face Lightning (#9) in North Lake in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
