No shocking result in a game in Hermit Park where third ranked Townsville Heat (10-3) defeated 10th ranked Gladstone Port City Power (4-9) 96-88 on Friday. Townsville Heat made 29-of-37 free shots (78.4 percent) during the game. Gladstone Port City Power was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Joshua Wilcher (178-91, college: Cent.Wyoming) who scored 21 points and 7 assists. American power forward Justin Baker (203-89, college: Utah Valley) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Baker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Townsville Heat players scored in double figures.
