Regular Season Round 21: Rockingham F. - Kalamunda E.S. 94-87

Not a big story in a game in Rockingham where 13th ranked Suns (6-20) were defeated by tenth ranked Flames (10-14) 94-87 on Friday. Flames outrebounded Suns 56-42 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Flames made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Donovon Jack (206-93, college: Penn St.) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 18 rebounds and 7 blocks. His fellow American import forward Vincent Zollo (206-92, college: Cleveland St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and swingman Jamieson Lewis (197-93) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Flames maintains tenth place in League with 10-14 record. Loser Suns keep the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Flames will face Giants (#12) in Kalgoorlie in the next round. Suns will play on the road against Cougars in Hamilton Hill and hope to win that game.
