Everything went according to plan in Northbridge where fifth ranked Redbacks (15-11) outleveled 14th ranked Magic (4-20) 94-70 on Friday. Redbacks dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Magic's 44. Redbacks forced 23 Magic turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: Arizona St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) chipped in 28 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Will McNeill (185-90, college: Washburn) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Taylor Mullenax (200-86, college: St.Edward's) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Redbacks maintains fifth place in League with 15-11 record. Loser Magic keeps the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. Redbacks will face Eagles (#11) in Morley in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Magic will play at home against Stirling S. and hope to win that game.
