Regular Season Round 15: Sayago - Colon 85-74

Undefeated leader Sayago delivered the twelfth consecutive victory on Friday night. This time they beat 13th ranked Colon (3-10) 85-74. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 53-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sayago outrebounded Colon 46-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American center Paul Harrison (203-89, college: N.Greenville) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Emiliano Gonzalez (198-88) helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Sayago players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: Ouachita Baptist) with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and guard Lucas Lepiani (188) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sayago (12-0) have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 12 victories in a row. Loser Colon stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Sayago will meet Tabare (#4) on the road in the next round. Colon will play against Marne (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
