Top ranked Mackay Meteors (12-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Brisbane Capitals (11-3) 108-100. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in League. Brisbane Capitals looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized American forward Dusty Rychart (201-78, college: Minnesota) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Nigerian guard Princeton Onwas (198-93, college: San Jose St.) chipped in 27 points and 6 assists. Five Brisbane Capitals players scored in double figures. Brisbane Capitals' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Shaun Bruce (190-91) who recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists and the former international forward Lucas Walker (202-84, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 27 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists respectively.
