No shocking result in a game in Perth where third ranked Buccaneers (18-7) defeated 5th ranked Stirling S. (14-11) 101-97 on Saturday. Buccaneers made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Jackson Hussey (190-92, college: Pikeville) who had a triple-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). American forward Dwayne Benjamin (201-93, college: Oregon) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. Four Buccaneers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Cody Ellis (203-90, college: St.Louis) who recorded 23 points and 7 assists and guard Corban Wroe (185-92, college: Hartford) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively. Stirling S.'s coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Buccaneers maintains third place in League with 18-7 record having just sixteen point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Stirling S. dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Buccaneers will face Hawks (#8) in Floreat in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Stirling S. will play on the road against Magic in Mandurah and hope to win that game.
