Very expected game when 9th ranked Panthers (2-16) were smashed by fifth ranked Sabres (12-6) in Pasadena 89-34 on Saturday. Sabres held Panthers to an opponent 20.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Sabres forced 31 Panthers turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Panthers' players. Quite impressive performance for E Brett who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Sarah Elsworthy contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Haley Bunce (-91) answered with 9 points and 6 rebounds and Danita Goodwin added 3 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Panthers. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sabres maintains fifth place in League with 12-6 record. Loser Panthers keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
