No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Flames (12-6) crushed 10th ranked Lions (1-17) in Gawler 108-38 on Saturday. Flames held Lions to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Flames forced 24 Lions turnovers and outrebounded them 67-26 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Lions' players. Quite impressive performance for forward Chelsea Brook (188) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Jessica Good (186-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. Five Flames players scored in double figures. Alisha Carlin answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Jessica Puvogel added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Lions. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Flames maintains fourth place in League with 12-6 record. Loser Lions keep the tenth position with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
