Regular Season Round 21: Nunawading S. - Albury W.B. 96-86

No shocking result in a game in East Burwood where first ranked Spectres (16-5) defeated 5th ranked Bandits (9-13) 96-86 on Saturday. Spectres looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Simon Conn (206-83, college: Gardner-Webb) who scored 33 points (!!!). Sam McDonald (-84) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 15 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward T.J. Robinson (203-89, college: Long Beach St.) who recorded 19 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Deba George (183-85) added 19 points and 5 assists respectively. Four Spectres and five Bandits players scored in double figures. Spectres maintains first place in League with 16-5 record. Loser Bandits keep the fifth position with 13 games lost. Spectres will face Tigers (#6) in Melbourne in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bandits will play at home against Kilsyth Cobras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
