Regular Season Round 21: Dandenong R. - Frankston 90-85

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Dandenong Rangers (13-8) won against at home 6th ranked Frankston Blues (8-14) 90-85 on Saturday. Dandenong Rangers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Chauncey Orr (193-93, college: Hawaii Pacific) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Timothy Lang (206-85, college: Stetson) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. Dandenong Rangers' coach used entire bench in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Alex Francis (198-91, college: Bryant, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import forward Nate Buss (206-92, college: N.Iowa) added 29 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Dandenong Rangers moved-up to third place in League. Loser Frankston Blues dropped to the seventh position with 14 games lost. Dandenong Rangers will face BA CoE (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Frankston Blues will play against the league's second-placed Ballarat Miners and hope to win that game.
