We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Tigers (7-13) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Kilsyth Cobras (9-13) 84-67 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-67. The best player for the winners was power forward Auryn MacMillan (204-87, college: Gardner-Webb) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international swingman Owen Odigie (196-93) chipped in 17 points. Four Kilsyth Cobras players scored in double figures. Kilsyth Cobras' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Ari Stewart (200-90, college: USC) who recorded 26 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Nate Tomlinson (192-89, college: Colorado) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Kilsyth Cobras moved-up to sixth place in League which they share with defeated Tigers. Loser Tigers keep the sixth position with 13 games lost. Kilsyth Cobras will face higher ranked Bandits (#5) in Albury in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
