Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Gladstone Port City Power (4-9) was outplayed on the road by fifth ranked Cairns Marlins (9-5) 85-63 on Saturday. Cairns Marlins looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Gladstone Port City Power's players. The best player for the winners was guard Kuany Kuany (201, college: Chaminade) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Damon Heuir (191-91, college: S.Utah) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists. Five Cairns Marlins players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Ray Willis (198-89, college: N.C.Central, agency: HMS) who recorded 38 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Willie Shackleford (198-85, college: Martin Methodist) added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists respectively.
