Regular Season Round 21: Sandringham S. - BA CoE 95-72

There was no surprise in Cheltenham where 8th ranked BA CoE (2-12) was crushed by fourth ranked Sabres (10-11) 95-72 on Saturday. Strangely BA CoE outrebounded Sabres 42-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Jerry Evans (203-90, college: Nevada) who scored 28 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Ethan ODay (206, college: Vermont) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Five Sabres players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Samson Froling (207-0) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and center Mate Colina (208-99) added 18 points and 10 rebounds respectively. BA CoE's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sabres maintains fourth place in League with 10-11 record. Loser BA CoE keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Sabres will face league's second-placed Chargers in Hobart in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BA CoE will play at home against Dandenong Rangers (#3) and hope to win that game.
