No shocking result in a game in Hornsby where third ranked Spiders (12-7) smashed 9th ranked Hawks (5-14) 90-61 on Saturday. They outrebounded Hawks 58-38 including a 40-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Joshua Chapman who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Scottish guard Patrick Emery (185, college: Coker) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Spiders players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Alexander Beagley who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds and Bailey OBrien added 11 points and 5 assists respectively. Spiders maintains third place in League with 12-7 record having just four point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Hawks keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. Spiders will face Crusaders (#7) in Terrigal in the next round. Hawks will play at home against Hills Hornets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
