Regular Season Round 27: Piratas - Condores 96-99

The most exciting game of round 27 in the Liga DirecTV took place in Bogota. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked Piratas (9-18) to fourth ranked Condores (13-14) 99-96 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for American forward Lamar Roberson (203-86, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Interlace Hoops) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import point guard Ryan McCoy (183-87, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Haylett Sports) helped adding 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Condores players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Brandon Givens (198-87, college: NC-Wesleyan) with 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard David Hernandez (172-96) scored 27 points. Condores maintains fourth place with 13-14 record. Piratas lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 18 games lost. They share it with Sabios. Condores will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Piratas will play again at home against Condores (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
