We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Hawthorn where tenth ranked Hume City Broncos (7-14) won against 9th ranked Magic (6-14) 72-68 on Sunday. Strangely Magic outrebounded Hume City Broncos 41-26 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Mike Rose (193-87, college: E.Kentucky) who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Luke Egan (200-74, college: E.Washington) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Hume City Broncos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Joshua Morrison (198-91, college: NC-Wesleyan) who recorded 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Kirk Smith (178) added 21 points respectively.
