Regular Season Round 21: Casey C. - Corio Bay S. 103-61

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Stingrays (4-16) were outplayed on the road by fifth ranked Casey C. (13-7) 103-61 on Sunday. Casey C. forced 21 Stingrays turnovers and outrebounded them 52-40 including 39 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Raheem Lemons (196-93, college: Central State) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Charles Polk (200-84, college: Butler) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Casey C. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Jordan Latham (206-91, college: Loyola, MD) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and guard Joel Mcfall (189-94) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Newly promoted Casey C. maintains fifth place in League with 13-7 record. Loser Stingrays keep the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Casey C. will face league's leader Knox Raiders in Wantirna South in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stingrays will play at home against McKinnon C. (#6) and hope to win that game.
